Hire and fire policy in IIMs

Bhargava committee has recommended the "hire and fire" policy for faculty recruitment in IIMs. In my opinion it is a welcome suggestion.

This would improve the quality of faculty members in the IIMs and thereby improve the quality of education in IIMs. Moreover this should be applied to all education institutions across the country especially at the professional level.

In my experience as a student I felt that the quality of education in our institutions are very poor. The staff are not really up to mark and not even interested to deliver their responsibilities as required of them. They are quite sure that their jobs are quite safe and they keep themselves busy with administrative or internal politics. It adversely affects the students and the standard of education.

In India it is important that we develop in technology and economy. We are not up to par with any of the developed countries. We are boasting of sending Chandrayana-I to moon yet this may not have happened without the help of outside countries.

I think we should be honest enough to accept our deficiency and work towards eliminating them.

Reaction to terrorism contd.

In continuation to my previous post I learned that British muslims have welcomed the arrest of some people from Hindu community. We should condemn both kinds of practices. We should not forget that this is a reaction to terrorism performed by people from another community.

Yes, good people get killed by both acts. We should discourage both of them.

It's not good for us to fight for something which cannot have a peaceful solution. We are not behaving as rational beings by being slave to our so called established rules. I'm not saying ignore all of them. But we must be open enough to allow change which would take us in the growth path.

There are more serious and challenging problems than just fighting for religion which would go away with our death and we are not sure if we carry this after death.

Reaction to terrorism

Recently, I learned that people from Hindu community are trying to take revenge on Muslims for the terrorist activities performed by a few persons from Muslim community.

This has been demonstrated as blast in Malegaon. Such people who are involved in such activities should be severely punished. They bring infame to the Hindu community. It does not reflect the true spirit of tolerance of Hindu culture and tradition.

The government authority should take stern actions against both kinds of criminals. We need peace and discipline to grow in our life.
